PAL-CON, Ltd. is a metal fabrication facility that specializes in natural gas turbine regenerators and components as well as various agricultural and industrial components. The INVENTORY ASSISTANT/EQUIPMENT OPERATOR will be responsible for supporting daily operations.

The INVENTORY ASSISTANT/EQUIPMENT OPERATOR must be detail oriented, able to multi-task, and able to change focus on a moment's notice. He/she will be required to learn and adhere to established processes, guidelines, procedures, and document flow. He/she must demonstrate the ability to accurately identify, document, and record material and component counts. He/she must be able to develop and foster positive relationships with all employees, departments, and management. The INVENTORY ASSISTANT/EQUIPMENT OPERATOR must also demonstrate the ability perform all assigned duties in a timely manner. The ability to troubleshoot discrepancies is imperative.

The INVENTORY ASSISTANT/EQUIPMENT OPERATOR's personal commitment to the success of PAL-CON, Ltd. is expected; he/she must be accountable for his/her actions. The INVENTORY ASSISTANT/EQUIPMENT OPERATOR must advise management of any errors or discrepancies. He/she must be able to work both independently and as a member of a team; he/she must be able to take and give direction well – written and verbal – and follow directions without deviation; he/she must be able to retain information.

Two years’ inventory-related experience in a challenging fast-paced manufacturing/fabrication setting is preferred. A high school diploma or equivalent is required. Experience skillfully operating equipment similar to forklifts, telehandlers, skid steers is required. The ability to operate standard office equipment is essential: PC with MS Office, fax, copier, printer, multi-line phone system, two-way radio, tablet, and calculator. An intermediate working knowledge of Excel and computer experience is a plus. He/she must have reliable transportation. He/she must understand, speak, write, and read English. The INVENTORY ASSISTANT/EQUIPMENT OPERATOR will report directly to the Inventory Manager; he/she must follow the proper chain of command.

The INVENTORY ASSISTANT/EQUIPMENT OPERATOR's rate of pay is negotiable and will be based upon experience. First shift's work hours are 7:00 AM until 5:30 PM, Monday through Thursday (four 10-hour days); second shift's work hours are 5:00 PM until 3:30 AM, Monday through Thursday (Friday AM, four 10-hour days). As production requirements change, this position’s hours may vary. This position is subject to a 90-day introductory period.
