PAL-CON, Ltd. repairs, services, refurbishes, manufactures, removes, and installs gas turbine regenerators for the natural gas and electric utility industries. Regenerators are built and installed for efficient heat transfer from one medium to another. The INVENTORY ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT will be responsible for supporting daily operations. 

The INVENTORY ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT is responsible for inputting projects in SAP/Enprise and reviewing production travelers in an effort to reconcile inventory activity as he/ she is responsible for managing the inventory tracking system. He/she must learn, understand, retain, and adhere to PAL-CON’s established guidelines and procedures for accepting material and components into inventory and the subsequent distribution of those items for production. He/she will track travelers, attend traveler review meetings, and maintain records of such as appropriate. He/she must be detail oriented and able to multi-task with minimal supervisor. The INVENTORY ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT must have excellent interpersonal skill, be able to develop and foster positive relationships with all employees and departments, and demonstrate the ability to accurately organize and enter data as related to material and components used and/or returned in a timely manner. Accurate documentation and record management is essential. The ability to troubleshoot discrepancies is imperative. 

The INVENTORY ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT must advise department managers (inventory, production, purchasing, etc.) of discrepancies. He/she must be able to take and follow direction well – written and verbal – without deviation. He/she must be flexible. He/she must understand, speak, read, and write English; demonstrate excellent communication skills (generate/respond to verbal and written requests for information); and demonstrate exemplary math and analytical skills. 

One to two years’ inventory experience in a challenging fast-paced manufacturing setting is preferred. A high school diploma or equivalent is required. The ability to operate standard office equipment is essential: PC with MS Office (Word, Excel, etc), fax, copier, printer, multiline phone system, two-way radios, and calculator. An intermediate to advanced working knowledge of Excel is necessary; experience with SAP is preferred, experience with Enprise is a plus. He/she must have reliable transportation. 

The INVENTORY ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT’s personal commitment to the success of PAL-CON, Ltd. is expected; he/she must be accountable for his/her actions. The INVENTORY ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT will report directly to the Vice President Business Administration. He/she must follow the proper chain of command. 

The INVENTORY ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT’s rate of pay is negotiable and will be based upon experience; PAL-CON, Ltd. offers competitive wages and benefits. The current work hours are 7:00 AM until 5:30 PM, Monday through Thursday; however, as production requirements change, this position’s hours may vary. This position is subject to a 90-day introductory period.
